Most Valuable Pitcher: Bryan Carney, Olivet

*Olivet senior Bryan Carney has been named the MIAA Most Valuable Pitcher after a dominant performance throughout conference play. Carney concluded the league schedule with a 1.34 earned-run average across six starts, compiling three wins over 40.1 innings pitched.

*He allowed just 24 hits and seven runs, including only six earned runs, while striking out 70 batters and posting a .92 WHIP. Carney’s ability to limit opposing offenses and consistently control games from the mound made him one of the conference’s most effective pitchers this season.

Most Valuable Position Player: Alexander Kavalick, Alma

*Alma junior first baseman Alexander Kavalick has been named the MIAA Most Valuable Position Player following an outstanding all-around season. Kavalick helped lead the Scots to a 14-7 conference record and the No. 2 seed in the 2026 MIAA Baseball Tournament.

*He finished conference play with a .398 batting average while starting all 21 games and recording 33 hits in 83 at bats. Kavalick totaled 21 runs scored, 10 doubles, two triples, and one home run, while driving in 30 runs and accumulating 50 total bases for a .602 slugging percentage. He also demonstrated strong plate discipline with 19 walks and posted a .514 on-base percentage.

*Defensively, Kavalick was equally impactful, registering 138 putouts, nine assists, and turning seven double plays while maintaining a .987 fielding percentage. His consistent production at the plate and reliability in the field were key components of Alma’s successful season.
